We Believe Owners Deserve Fast, Fair & Friendly Exits

Whether you’ve built your business from the ground up or taken over the family trade passed down the generations, we understand you have put your heart and soul into making your business the success that it is today.
After all those years and all that effort, we believe you deserve a simple exit that allows you to sell your business without delay and unnecessary professional fees. Whether you’re looking to gradually step back or retire immediately, we are here for you.

Why Sell to EMC Capital?

There are plenty of financial buyers seeking to acquire businesses to turn a quick profit. They buy companies, strip out everything that made special and sell them before moving onto their next investment. That goes against everything that EMC Capital stands for. Here are just some of the things you can expect from us.

We Have Done It Before

We know that you’ve put your heart and soul into your company and that you want it to thrive once you have sold it. Here at EMC Capital, we specialise in the acquisition of successful owner-managed businesses and want the same thing. We have a varied portfolio of companies that turnover more than £50m per year and that have continued to prosper after changing ownership.

We Provide Patient, Permanent Capital

We don’t just view your company as an asset, but as part of our ever-expanding family of businesses that we acquire with no intention of selling. As we have no outside investors, we buy and hold businesses for decades and provide them with the investment capital needed to grow and fund bolt-on acquisitions. Our goal is to help you exit with value and empower your passionate managers to develop the companies they helped build, with our committed capital, light-touch strategic support and long-term investment horizon.

We Make Decisions Quickly and Act Fast

Selling your business can be a miserable task. You are promised the world by a bunch of professionals and after months of hassle you’re usually left with a bunch of fees and no deal. We offer a solution to that – a fast, friendly and, above all, fair transfer of ownership that takes the stress and hassle out of selling.

We Understand Family-Owned Businesses

We appreciate the culture of family-owned businesses because we are a family-owned business ourselves. When we acquire companies, we leave the businesses to operate independently without pursuing synergies and avoid messing with the culture that made them special in the first place.

We Promise to Look after your Business

We want you to be as proud of your company in the future as you are today. We will work with your existing management team to retain your values and build upon the history and reputation you have already established. Selling your business to us brings new opportunities for your company, your staff, and your customers.

What We Are Looking for

We like to buy great family-owned businesses. We are flexible in our approach but want to talk to owners that care about their business and want it to retain its name, culture and independence. The companies we typically acquire operate in the manufacturing and engineering sectors with a turnover up to £20m and a history of profitability.

If you think your business fits the bill and want to discuss your options, please get in touch with us today.
